About Spartanburg, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Spartanburg, South Carolina serves as the seat of Spartanburg County. With about 37,000 residents as of the 2010 census, this is the 12th largest city in the state by population. Spartanburg is located in northwestern South Carolina in a region known as “The Upstate”, and it is found about 80 miles west of Charlotte, North Carolina. This city was founded in 1785 and was a major textile manufacturing hub in the late 19th century. Today, Spartanburg is home to Denny’s headquarters and is home to several institutions of higher learning, such as Converse College, Wofford College, Spartanburg Methodist College, and USC Upstate.

As one of the major cities in the county, Spartanburg offers visitors and residents plenty of things to do. Outdoor recreation is popular at Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve, Croft State Park, and Glendale Shoals Preserve. Foreign auto enthusiasts may like to visit the BMW Zentrum, while fans of craft brews should check out Ciclops Cyderi & Brewery or RJ Rockers Taproom and The Silo. Attractions are also available to families with young children, such as the Hollywood Animal Park.

Found in a humid subtropical zone, winter weather in Spartanburg is quite pleasant. While other U.S. residents are battling blizzards, Spartanburg locals can enjoy temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Still, overnight conditions will cool off considerably, so residents should have the right heat pump or furnace in place to stay warm at home.

Summer weather is quite different from winter conditions. High heat and humidity can lead to uncomfortable conditions outdoors, and this can result in discomfort inside without the right climate controls. Spartanburg area residents and visitors rely on their air conditioners to ease these conditions, and regular system maintenance will ensure that they are comfortable year-round. These HVAC maintenance programs can extend the life of a system, ensuring that a unit runs as efficiently as possible.
